  • District Hospital, Palakkad, Balagangadharan Menon wrote 9 years ago:
It is unfortunate that Operation Theater in the District hospital is closed for the last two months due to water leak and shock. Patients who need surgeries are driven to private hospital and those who do not afford are leaving to fate. A Public Interest litigation has been filed against the inaction of District Panchayat President, Hospital Superintendent and PWD. Hon'ble Court took the matter seriously and directed the Govt. Pleader to take instructions and report urgently. There is criminal lapse on the part of the authorities in this regard. Adv. Balagangadharan, Palakkad.

  • Tipu Sultan Fort, Mastan (guest) wrote 9 years ago:
Have just came bsck from visit to Sringapatam and was sad to see how Tipu was betrsyed. More sad to see that British have plundered his Palaces. There is virtually nothing of value in them. I guess all the valueables are either in British Musems or homes. Is nt it time for the BBritish Government returned the the plundered items. It would be a great Goodwill gesture and also bring billions in. India might look favorably at British requeststo increase trade. Another Grest gesture and a form of apologywould be for Our Queen to return Koinhoor dismond to India. Ofcorse, it won't compensate for billions stolen out of India during British Raj but it will create more Goodwill than just placing a Statue of Mahatma Ghandi in Parliament Square. Mastan
