Kalpathy village is very close to the Palakkad town - 3kms / 15 minutes. Autos are available in plenty from the transport / private bus stand as well as the railway station. All trains entering Kerala thru Coimbatore has to pass thru Palakkad Jn. NH47 Salem - Kannyakumari pass thru Palakkad. There are several hotels available in the town area - Indraprashta, Kapilavasthu, Soorya Sri Chakra etc etc. priced at various levels. Ratholsavam is in the mid of Nov every year. There are several temples in and around Kalpathy......It is worth a visit especially to see the temple architecture and festivals....
